Hello! We are Lesley (Left) and Katie-Jane (Right). If you can't tell, we are related, Mother and Daughter!

We have both been in the floral industry since 2007. Although we started together, our floral journeys have gone down very different paths, crossing occasionally as the years went on. We started this adventure when Lesley bought a little flower shop in Northumberland. 

We stayed here for 8 years with Lesley running the shop and Katie-Jane working on building a name for herself.

After 8 years Lesley sold the business and Katie-Jane stepped into the floral world alone. Starting her own business specialising in wedding flowers. 

Fast forward a few years and Katie is still running a wedding floral business, but Lesley now has itchy feet and has taken on a position for a Dutch floral exporter, putting her past life skills as an operations manager for an IT company to great use! After a few years she left this role to retire!

2020 comes around and Katie-Jane decides to move to the USA with her Husband. After working in the USA for over a year and half, using Smilax almost every weekend, Katie-Jane realised that with our backgrounds we could make some magic happen and bring Smilax to our floral friends in the UK!
