Smilax is a green vine foliage that grows across the southern states of the USA. Texas Smilax is very hardy and versatile. It easily covers arches, columns, stairways, ceilings and much more. Although native, it is invasive to the environment in which it grows. Smothering trees and blocking light, harvesting the Smilax plays a huge role in regenerating the forests.

We know that everyone likes to be as conscious as possible to the effect their actions have on the environment and importing foliage from the USA may not seem environmentally friendly. However, because it grows wild there is no additional heat or water needed like commercially grown foliage and there are never any pesticides used, EVER!

But what about the transport, I hear you say? Well, when we fly our smilax from Texas to Heathrow, we only ever use commercial airlines, flights that are already planned to cross the Atlantic. Our boxes take up left over space in the hold.



Once your Smilax delivery arrives it requires no conditioning, no additional water and very little of your time, bonus! Then when you are ready to use it onsite it needs no water source or FLORAL FOAM!

So that is a product that is harvested to help the environment, travels on pre-planned flights, and needs no water or floral foam to be used.
